As regards the Note Issue in Hong Kong, where at present Ct least, no such Government Issue has been established, it is

earnestly hoped that in any case the application of the Bank will, under the circumstances I have explained, be acceded to, and I am desired to point out that the Annual General Meeting of this Bank will

take place in mid-April next, and such being the case, it would be

very convenient if my Directors could be informed of the decision in

regard thereto, not later than the end of March.
